Monmouth County

Monmouth County Animal Response Team

Our mission is to provide community awareness of disaster planning and preparedness for the families of companion animals as well as large animal disaster preparedness; and to assist in emergency sheltering of companion animals during disasters. We operate under the direction of the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office, Office of Emergency Management, and are an all-volunteer team.

Our team can be mobilized to provide pet friendly emergency sheltering in conjunction with general population and access and functional needs shelters. In the event of an emergency, you and your pet should be prepared to take shelter with family and friends outside of the affected area.  Information on "pet- friendly" co-shelters will be broadcasted through all available media outlets.
